Baptist Health & Rehab, a 4-star rated care center, is hiring dedicated Part-Time Scheduler, Staffing Coordinator to join our skilled team!

This position is responsible for nursing (licensed and NAR) scheduling, interviewing, and other special projects. The successful performance of this job requires meeting high standards in the areas of communication and establishment of respectful relationships with nursing staff, scheduling, tracking and disseminating data, and customer service, as well as compliance with state and federal regulations as related to staffing requirements.

This is a Part-Time, benefit eligible position working 20 hours per week. This position will work in the office Monday, Friday, and 2 weekends of the month, and will work at home, on-call the remaining weekends of the month.

Monday & Friday Shift: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Guaranteed Weekends: 6 hour shifts

On-Call Weekends: 5:00am to 9:00pm with some flexibility. Guaranteed 4 hours of pay, but if you work more than for hours, you will get paid for the additional time.

Scheduler, Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the schedule for the nursing department with accuracy to ensure an adequate number of nurses and nursing assistants are assigned 24 hours/day to meet all staffing requirements of state and federal regulations, including:
• Filling shifts to cover call ins and placing staff on make up days
• Maintain the scheduling database of staff members and hours worked with accuracy by immediately entering changes of schedules.
• Assist with replacement of staff and tracking employee absences.
• Call, text, and email possible candidates online.
• Set up interviews and interview CMA’s and CNA’s
• Interview potential candidates
• Review trade slips and respond appropriately in a timely manner.

Scheduler, Staffing Coordinator Skills and Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be a certified nursing assistant, listed as active on the registry.
• 2 years of experience in long-term care, at least 1 year as a certified nursing assistant preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Skills in problem identification and resolution.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of computers and software, including but not limited to Work, Excel.
• Displays an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families and staff.
• Functions as a team member with other staff in the performance of duties.
