SAP IBP Supply Chain Planning Transformation SME
Contract Role- Duration 15-18 months (high likelihood for this project to be 2-3 years)

Location- Majority Remote
Travel required to client site as needed- expenses reimbursed- company location North Billerica, MA

Summary

This resource will serve as SAP IBP Supply Chain Planning Transformation SME on key technology initiative’s during implementation and post Go-live, primary focus on new SAP ERP implementation in 22/23. This role will partner with Core IT team and focus on the technology supporting Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process. This process includes customer demand forecasting, distribution requirements planning, inventory management, S&OP meeting analytics, capacity evaluation and more.

The candidate will work directly with key stakeholders and business partners gathering requirements to align technology with business strategy and goals. The candidate is expected to perform high-quality project work for his/her stakeholders, continue to build the SAP IBP capability at and foster its continued growth within ’ Operations.

Must have experience:

  • Experience configuring / implementing SAP IBP solutions in DP & SNP & in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience integrating SAP IBP to an S/4 environment.
  • Knowledge of data integration with IBP
  • Knowledge in BW, S4 HANA Core modules like MM, SD and PP is preferred
  • Experience in S4 HANA Master and Transaction Data including Material Master, Vendor Master,

Condition Master (Price), Customer, Purchasing Info records, Source Lists, Quota Arrangement.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Functional Designer with a focus on SAP IBP Planning related solutions. Design, configure, test and implement SAP supply chain solutions.
  • Create functional design documents for enhancements, integrations, and data conversions.
  • Execute SAP supply chain functional activities in partnership with the Supply Chain Team, SAP
  • Development, SAP Analytics teams and the SAP managed and SAP related 3rd party supply chain application service providers.
  • Continually assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for the IT management.
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of new and existing SAP supply chain applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing technical and quality standards, guidance, and reference architectures.
  • Develop productive relationships with business across the organization to influence how SAP supply chain applications can enable new sources of value.
  • Execute methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall) and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
  • Lead Demand Planning responsible for statistical forecasting, consolidation and, distribution requirements planning, inventory management, S&OP meeting analytics
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting & business analysis.
  • Working with the planning managers to design S&OP processes
  • Designing, blue-printing and implementing DP (Demand Planning), SNP (Supply Network Planning), with business process design including IBP S&OP, DDMRP (Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning)
  • Conducting workshops for gathering requirements, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and client training
  • Designing and help build analytics and dashboards using the supply chain control tower
  • Drive closed-loop S&OP agenda, champion S&OP maturity and enable transition to integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Maintain senior leader engagement in the S&OP process to ensure decisions are taken within the process.
  • Develop and govern S&OP policies, Demand Planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively coordinating multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Follow governance processes that facilitate business prioritization
  • Update and maintain all SAP/WRICEF functional documentation IT Application Engineer – M&OQ
  • Conduct Unit tests, Integration tests, and Regression tests
  • Metrics: OTIF, MAPE, BIAS, Inventory /DOS, Backorders, S&OP maturity.

This function works closely with various business partners: Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Global and Regional supply chain teams.

  • Good understanding of Pharma guidelines including GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11 etc..
  • Partner with the leadership team to make validation decisions, participate in software implementations, analyze risk-based testing, and participate in vendor recommendations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Execute/support the execution of impacted SOP updates through the QMS document management process
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance and ensure all work activities are conducted within the regulatory requirements, related policies and procedures, and corporate objectives
  • Responsible for executing good development and documentation practices
  • Effectively evaluate and shift priorities appropriately based on multiple considerations and changing demands
  • Assist in training and knowledge sharing for areas of expertise with other colleagues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in SAP application design, development, quality assurance and implementation processes.
  • Experience leading SAP teams at a functional level including the creation of architecture standards, reference architectures and data models.
  • Experience integrating SAP Supply Chain solutions into a broad array of non-legacy technologies and architectures.
  • Vendor Evaluation, Production BOMs, Production Versions, Routings, Resources (MM, Procurement, SD, PP) a plus
  • Experience in implementation / Roll out projects
  • Client stakeholder management experience

Pay: $75.00 - $87.00 per hour
