Job description
The Sales Representative - Marine Coatings is a remote-based, outside sales role responsible for sales lead qualification, management of a dedicated book of business, and growing new business for Protective and Marine Coatings unit!
You will be responsible for the Houston/Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX territory.
Can you maintain close working relationships with leads given to contractors and field sales?
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate daily phone sales presentations to targeted accounts and prospective customers.
- Ensure all leads are closed in the CRM while forecasting revenue projections for assigned accounts.
- Increase existing customer share to meet sales expectations and build relationships with new customers to increase the potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments and personnel to address customer issues and needs.
- Resolve incoming inquiries by phone, email, and chat from new or prospective customers, ensure customers are directed to appropriate network for resolution.
- Call on asset owners, shipyards, and contractors
- Build and project a pipeline of future business through the bid process
- Write technical coating specifications and provide quotes
- Support customers need through product knowledge feedback and expertise.
- Working with customers Accounts Receivable to collect monies owed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years prior experience with phone sales, inside sales, and customer service.
- Knowledge of CRM software applications with experience maintaining data in such systems is encouraged.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of epoxy, urethane, polysiloxane, and antifouling coatings/linings, etc.
- Marine and offshore industry experience, preferred
- 50% or more travel required
