POSITION SUMMARY:
DuBois Chemicals is looking to hire a high-performance sales professional to assume a sales territory with excellent upside growth potential. Responsible to grow the company’s presence, customer relationships, and sales in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX, Oklahoma City, and N. Louisiana marketplace. Manage an existing account base and grow sales in other value-added manufactured products, particularly Metalworking Fluids, in the company’s product offerings. Maintenance of customer accounts once established is equally as important as efforts to generate new business. Responsible for communicating customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid organic sales growth. Demonstrate the company’s core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage/maintain programs at established customer sites
  • Manage an existing account base and grow sales in other value-added manufactured products in the company’s product offering
  • Perform monthly, or as needed, program audit samples using a portable lab and analyzing results at client sites
  • Troubleshoot non-conformances in water sample results at customer sites
  • Profitably grow a sales territory as well as develop strong customer relationships of existing business
  • Aggressive customer focus with a strong sales mentality and willingness to learn and grow
  • Possess strong work ethic, servant’s heart and competitive drive
  • Build robust sales pipeline that supports expected profitable growth
  • Effectively work collaboratively with team members as well as other functional support employees.
  • Effectively build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude, including mechanical aptitude with basic tools
  • Comfortably making numerous cold calls on a monthly basis
  • Maintains constant focus on working and driving in a safe manner
  • Travel to current and prospective customers to maintain and develop relationships and grow sales
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years in sales and service preferably in chemicals sales/service
  • Proven ability to build/maintain customer relationships at various levels within the customer’s organization
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow
  • Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Involvement with Manufacturing Associations aligned with field of expertise desirable
  • Strong time management skills with an attention to detail
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Proficient in performing technical/mechanical on-site testing and minor equipment repairs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including some overnight travel
