The Sales Representative is responsible for driving market awareness, new customer acquisition and relationship management, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have experience in enterprise software and/or SaaS sales. The individual must comfortably engage with all levels of prospects across multiple industries using available mediums, including face-to-face, phone, email and social media, to identify and close new business transactions on behalf of Bewsys in the U.S. and internationally. S/he must have experience selling to U.S government agencies, preferably at the national and sub-national level (e.g., the State Department, USAID, Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the Small Business Administration (SBA), and city governments), bilateral and multilateral International Development Organisations (IDOs) (e.g., the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), various UN agencies), Non-governmental organisations (NGOs), private and public Foundations (Bill and Melinda Gates, Mastercard, Rockefeller, Ford, etc.), and large enterprises. Note, Bewsys is interested in two main streams of business. First, help these firms to build their digital awareness, capacity, and presence. Second, work as a partner or subcontractor to those large firms (Prime Contractors) that regularly bid on government and donor-funded Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs) (e.g., Chemonics, Palladium, Tetra Tech and DAI) to mention a few.

The ideal person will be a self-starter with strong networking, communication, relationship-building skills, a passion for sales, and experience working in a dynamic, politically driven, and competitive environment. Key attributes include integrity, strong written and oral communication skills, attention to details and deadlines, and a strong work ethic. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a database of high-potential targets that align with Bewsys’ mission and offering.
  • Develop a sales strategy and implementation plan, supporting the development of all requisite physical and digital marketing and sales materials.
  • Establish mutually agreed-upon sales projections that are aggressive yet achievable.
  • Meet or exceed the US$ million sales targets.
  • Engage in direct sales, including sourcing leads, customer discovery for solution recommendations, and negotiation through contract signing and client relations.
  • Engage C-level Executives within the target markets, including IDOs, UN organizations, NGOs, and other organizations with a mandate to contribute to the SDGs.
  • Communicate solution requirements obtained from customer discovery to the technical product team.
  • Represent the company at conferences, speaking events and trade shows within the USA.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers across all accounts.
  • Remain knowledgeable of the company's products/services to support prospect and customer needs.
  • Disciplined use of CRM to record all communication with leads, contacts and accounts.
  • Deliver monthly reports, including the Pipeline Report and other reports, as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Proven track record of having identified and closed international development transactions in the USA and/or have worked with international development implementing partners as a business development professional.
  • Sales experience must include closing contracts with a value over $250,000, with sustained annual sales achievements over $2.5M per annum.
  • Experience drafting bids and proposals in response to RFPs and RFAs will be an advantage.
  • Experience selling to international development organisations and/or government agencies is a must.
  • Proven track record of C-level engagement with international organizations.
  • Proven track record of selling within the USA and internationally.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of B2B sales experience with SaaS or related solutions.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a software engineering discipline.
  • Exceptional proven sales success working in-person and remotely with customers, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing market entry strategies.
  • Experience in sales in emerging markets will be considered an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,207.00 - $69,438.00 per year
