About the role:

As a Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Sales Manager for TQL, you will have the rare opportunity to become an external leader within one of our largest startups under the TQL sales umbrella. Historically we promote our managers internally, but our rapid growth and creation of new services, has created an opportunity for a highly driven sales leader to join the TQL family.


You’ll be set up for success by spending your first year aggressively learning our business and working directly with our sales leadership team. Upon completion of your training, you’ll lead a team of world class sales employees responsible for driving revenue and supporting customer needs with LTL services.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive LTL revenue through coaching and development of new and existing team members
  • Interview, hire, onboard and train entry-level LTL account representatives
  • Assist account reps master LTL strategies to ensure production targets and elite customer service standards are met
  • Work and build relationships with sales leadership across the organization at every level
  • Ensure employees maintain the highest level of integrity
  • Occasionally travel to meet with LTL account reps, prospects, and customers
  • Monitor sales reports, take action as needed and communicate LTL trends and market conditions to senior leadership
  • Aid in resolving escalated issues
  • Maintain and develop new strategies to grow accounts

What you need:

  • 2+ years’ experience in LTL Sales
  • 1+ year of proven success leading and managing a team
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion to coach, lead and motivate others
  • Ability to be on call in a fast-moving environment
  • Capable of supplying strong professional references – customer, superior, peer and direct-report
