Base: £30,000

An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a high-growth housing technology scale-up focused on eliminating fuel poverty and improving living standards in social housing as a Sales Development Representative.

This approach led us to reimagine the most mundane household object, a thermostat, into a product that automatically reduces energy bills, looks great and offers control to those who want it. We are also revolutionising the way social landlords manage their housing stock with an obsessively tailored SaaS property dashboard and handy alerts on things such as when the boiler is going to break.

Our next project is to build the ultimate connected hub for the social home. It’s going to

revolutionise the way residents interact with their homes and landlords manage their properties.

Our journey

We may be only 7 years old, but it’s already been quite a ride. Our first product, the connected Switchee thermostat is already in over 100 of the UK’s biggest housing providers.

We’re growing 100% year on year and are backed by some of the best-known investors in technology and social impact. We are a small team of 50 passionate and ambitious people driven by a collective desire to make a positive impact in the housing sector, both for residents and landlords.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to be an essential part of our Business Development team, helping us engage with potential new clients and keep us growing as a business.

Your responsibilities

As a Sales Development Representative, your main responsibilities will be centred around lead generation and working with our CRM software (Hubspot). You will be the face and the voice of Switchee, educating potential clients about our mission, products and services.

You will develop and maintain relationships with our stakeholders as well as have a great opportunity to attend key trade shows and conferences as part of the Switchee team.

You will not be siloed in your work. In fact, you will be collaborating closely with our Marketing, Operations and Product teams and learn more about agile ways of working within a scale-up..

You will be the bridge between Marketing and Business Development, prospecting new leads and warming them up for the wider expansion on named CS and BD accounts.

The role

  • Generate leads through outbound calling on marketing-generated and inbound leads

  • Keeping those leads warm to eventually pass onto the enterprise sales team

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of business' product line and value proposition

  • Work with your BD team to implement sales strategies

  • Networking and building key business relationships

  • Displaying a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment and professionalism
