About: The Monroe Co-Op is a retail farm & feed store. We have been serving the local Snohomish community for over 85 years. We are adamantly dedicated to our employees, community, and membership. We are looking for both long-term candidates willing to grow within our small business and part-time associates.
Summary: Salary range $16.00-$18.00 per hour based on previous work history, benefits included. A retail sales associate at the Monroe Co-Op provides high levels of customer service to everyone who walks through our doors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic retail sales duties, including up-selling and cross-selling products
- Operate cash register & POS system
- Assist customers with specialized farm and feed knowledge
- Coordinate answering phones, and in-store customers
- Provide customers with assistance pumping propane & fuel
- Restock shelves with products & remerchandise sections of the store with instruction
- Keep the store clean and tidy
- Assist with counting items for inventory maintenance
- Seasonally - assist customers with baby chick & poultry purchases
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18+
- Must have scheduling flexibility - mornings, evenings, & weekends
- Farm experience and knowledge is highly preferred
- Must be able to consistently lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
