Job description
Surgicare at Mon Health Medical Center is a preop/postop area for surgeries. There are two locations for Surgicare: Surgicare Center (3rd floor) and Surgicare South (1st floor). The department is open Monday – Friday and closed on weekends and holidays. The department is staffed from 5:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Hours on Mondays and Wednesdays are 5:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. The staff is comprised of RNs , Clinical Assistants and Unit Clerks. RNs are required to have BLS and ACLS certification.; medical/surgical background is preferred.
Job Summary:
As a RN at Mon Health you will coordinate total patient centered care ensuring optimal service to the communities we serve.
Education Requirements:
Incumbent must be a graduate of school of nursing.
Experience Requirements:
Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.
Certifications/ Licensure Requirements:
Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work
May exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
