UNIT DETAILS (Surgical-Appleton Hospital):We are looking for an RN committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences while utilizing your skills and knowledge to the highest scope. Our dynamic, fast paced 24 bed post op unit specializes in orthopedic, spine, bariatric, urological and general surgeries. Together, we strive to create a team environment where you can collaborate, learn and perform your best every day.

Job Description:
SCHEDULE:
Self-scheduling rotating shifts between days/nights
12 hour shifts typically 5:30a-6p / 6p-5:30a
Every 3rd weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun)
Rotating holiday schedule required

The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by ThedaCare. Furthers the professional practice of nursing at ThedaCare by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Associates Degree in Nursing with an agreement to obtain the BSN within five years.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures
