Position Overview:
Seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to assist the IAS team in the development and enhancement of automated solutions to streamline investment processes and portfolio management of real estate related debt investments.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Develop automated solutions to efficiently analyze existing portfolio and evaluate potential new investments
- Utilize market data to enhance investment analysis, including RMBS performance data, US housing data, etc.
- Proactively seek out new forms of analysis and opportunity for automation
- Liaise with third-party technology vendors to facilitate data integration across business lines
- Assist in surveillance and asset management of RE Securities portfolio
- Create new tools to enhance risk reporting for both internal and external distribution
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with large and complex data sets
- Strong knowledge base of the residential real estate markets/trends and structured finance sector
- 2+ years of work experience in a data science or related role
- Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes
- Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite

- Prior rating agency and/or cash flow modeling experience, a plus
