Nitra will offer physicians and medical clinics around the country the cards, loans, accounts, payments, and expense management products they expect, in an all-in-one platform powered by machine learning and blockchain technologies.
Nitra was created by unicorn founders who have successfully scaled to thousands of customers and exited $1B+ public offerings. They are joined by an ambitious and experienced team from American Express, Citi, PayPal, Plaid, Bloomberg, Meta, Facebook, and Mastercard. The team is supported by an expert group of advisors such as the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and co-founder of CityMD and is backed by some of the world’s leading VCs such as Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and more.

We're looking for:
A Risk Operations Manager who will build Nitra's long-term underwriting, customer risk management, and fraud operations. This role requires an understanding of underwriting processes, fluency with data, and the ability to analyze risk vectors such as credit and fraud risks. We take our responsibility to serve our customers’ commitment to their financial health seriously, and our approach is anchored in data-driven and systematic decisions to delight our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing insurance and risk management
  • Develop and execute Nitra's risk underwriting policy used to onboard new business to the Nitra platform across corporate credit card and bill pay products
  • Build and maintain monitoring dashboards for underwriting outcomes, processes, and losses
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to build a world-class risk tooling to increase operations efficiency
  • Research emerging underwriting and fraud trends to innovate on Nitra's underwriting engine

You have...

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Risk/ Underwriting Operations or Fraud Management
  • Experience within consumer/ corporate/ small business cards, payments, invoices, lending, or related industries
  • Experience building complex financial products
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Expert level time management and organizational skills – adept at handling and frequently re-prioritizing a high volume of tasks
  • The ability to see challenges as opportunities to level up. High-achieving and goal-oriented. A self-starter, you are always able to understand the bigger picture and take a leading role to impact it
  • A collaborative spirit – Transparent in your work, output, and decision making

The base salary range for this full-time position is $145K - $165K + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
