Risk and Operation Manager
Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO of CSIpay, this is a key leadership position within the organization. The Risk and Operation Manager will have responsibility for business development, channel partner support, and merchant boarding, operations, and support. The Risk and Operation Manager will serve as a key part of our management team and be expected to make meaningful contributions to all aspects of the business.
CSIpay’s growth is depending upon attracting new channel partners, software companies, franchisors or large merchants with multiple locations, which embed our services into their service delivery process through a software integration. Business development is tasked with approaching and signing channel partners from within the Constellation Software family and beyond. The business development team is also tasked with driving penetration of our services into existing channel partners so that they use multiple services from CSIpay. Examples include, terminal integration (EMV), tokenization services, convenience fee processing, etc.
Channel partner support is a critical element of our execution strategy. Beginning with implementation and continuing throughout the relationship, this support is intended to maximize the volume of new merchant accounts originated by each channel partner, maximize revenue yield through price and merchant configuration optimization, and ensure that our service delivery is very well coordinated with the channel partner’s sales and support teams. This function also includes training and support of channel partner sales teams, the provision of marketing collateral templates, and marketing or add-on sales campaign guidance.
Merchant operations includes the application, underwriting, boarding, and support functions directed to the merchant level. Depending on the support model chosen by the channel partner a varying amount of these functions are handled by the CSIpay operations team in Hatboro vs. handled by the channel partner’s sales, implementation or sales support teams.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Direct management of the business development team that is tasked with sourcing, closing and implementing new Channel Partners for distribution of the companies services
  • Responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies and tactics and support and measurement of same utilizing salesforce.com
  • Direct management of the operations team responsible for merchant boarding and support
  • Responsible for development, documentation and ongoing enhancement of operational processes and for meeting communicated standards for new merchant implementation
  • Responsible for weekly reporting of performance and quality measures on the operations team
  • Responsible for coordination with processors (Elavon, Vantiv, Actum,EFT Canada, Wells Fargo) with regard to boarding and merchant support
  • Direct management of sales support team that is responsible for supporting channel partners that do not have inside merchant sales support in their organizations (Shortcuts, MS, eFit, Pioneer Capital) as well coordination with inside sales team at channel partners
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving channel partner commissions and reporting each month
  • Key contributor to platform and product enhancement effort by articulating market, partner and merchant insights
  • Key contributor to marketing efforts through active participation on ongoing marketing process
