JOB PURPOSE
The RHVAC Retrofit Helper is responsible for assisting with refrigerant retrofits for HVAC and refrigeration equipment in all assigned retail stores.
The RHVAC Retrofit Helper is responsible for assisting with refrigerant retrofits for HVAC and refrigeration equipment in all assigned retail stores.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of a team to assist/perform refrigerant retrofits, as scheduled.
- Provide job-related updates on a regular and timely basis.
- Proactively check refrigerant leaks and repairs.
- Assist in the preparation of systems for retrofit.
- Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions in machine and electrical rooms.
- Communicate as needed with retail store personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity.
- Assist with the recovery of existing refrigerant.
- Work a flex schedule, including the overnight shift.
- Travel 85%, schedule may consist of 4 ten-hour overnight shifts (subject to change).
- Act in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Possesses a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA certified for refrigerant handling Class II, III or universal
- Proficiency in English language - ability to understand and follow English instructions
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same prior to hire
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, DMV review and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
- 1 year of Refrigeration/HVAC maintenance, install, or retrofit experience
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and Refrigeration Controller Technology
- Self-motivated and successful experience in previous employment
- Above average troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions quickly
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skill
- Excellent work ethic and high standard of integrity
