Title: Rework-Preservation Technician
Work Shift (day/night): Mon – Fri 7AM-330PM

PAYRATE - $20-22 (this payrate will be determined at the time of offer.)
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Rework-Preservation Technician will work on a team or individually, to complete cleaning and repair on large wind turbine components. The Rework-Preservation Technician will work to procedures, identify needed changes to procedures and assist in developing/revising written procedures. Rework-Preservation Technician will be responsible for adhering to all EHS policies/procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Rework-Preservation Technician you will:
- Support team objectives and remain focused on safety, quality and timely execution
- Work within the product schedule requirements
- Provide oversight on contractors as needed
- Participate in pre-work meetings to discuss lift plans, schedule, hazards and work requirements
- Blend casting, metal materials using pneumatic/electric power tools
- Clean components to meet acceptance specification criteria
- Achieve Takt time of scheduled tasks
- Use various methods including manual hand sanding, filing to ensure component meets specification
- Help in all areas of work preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervision
- Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures as applicable
- Communicate work status to management, leads and engineering as required
- Communicate to leads and/or managers, defective equipment and support consumable inventory status
- Visually inspect individual components and disposition for re-use, scrap based on specification requirements
- Stage components required to rework/clean in assigned areas with cranes as needed
- Apply corrosion protection as required to metal surfaces
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
