Job purpose

This Rework Lead position is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling the re-work process, ensuring functionality and service, ensuring that all products are made to ship on schedule. The Warehouse Rework Lead manages day to day operations by working with their teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and operational goals are consistently met.

Duties and responsibilities

• Determine and manage the production costs; control costs and effectively allocate and recommend resources needed to complete jobs on a timely basis and in accordance with output expectations.
• Manage, coach and provide assistance to production staff; motivate team members and act as a liaison between other department heads, ensuring optimal cooperation between departments.
• Plan, coordinate and control the re-work process, ensuring functionality and service, ensuring that all products are made to ship on schedule.
• Resolve production issues and maintain quality standards and output requirements
• Communicate progress, project updates and departmental updates with the management team and production personnel.
• Assist with employee relations including investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations; GMP standards, safety policies and company policies.
• Oversee staffing and recruiting for production.
• Conduct performance reviews within company guidelines.
• Manage, assist and train employees as needed for higher efficiency to minimize waste & rework.
• Manage and develop a team of hourly Production staff.
• Oversee all training for the shift.
• Promote safety & best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and change.

Qualifications

• Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Experience:

o 1 – 2 year’s operating in a warehouse environment

o Knowledge of 3PL systems and procedures

• Abilities

o Evaluating quality of materials or products.

o Reading work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements

o Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

o Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.

o Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

• Specialized knowledge:

o Computer Knowledge

o Microsoft Suite

o Math Skills

o Problem Solving/Analysis.

o Communication Proficiency.

o Coordination Skills

o Time Management.

o Teamwork

• Professional Certification:

o Forklift Certification.

o Six Sigma Certification, minimum White belt.

In Probation Period (3 months):

Rate = $19.50 / hour

After Probation Period:

Rate = $21.00 / hour
Location = 1861 Mountain View Loma Linda, CA 92354

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
