We are looking for part-time sales associates to join our team at Hive.

Our sales staff work to create a warm and welcoming environment, build relationships with our community, and provide exceptional customer service. Sales associates are often our customer’s first interaction with Hive and the go-to resource for questions and concerns. They keep the shop running smoothly on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate is friendly, thoughtful, and loves working with people. A successful sales associate will be a self-manager, adaptive, and eager to contribute. They are proactive and mindful in creating a shop environment that is inclusive of varying perspectives and experiences.

Expectations:

· Demonstrate active listening to identify customer needs and make thoughtful recommendations to suit their needs.

· Provide exceptional customer insight on new products, categories or brands to consider.

· Create an open and welcoming environment for every person who enters the shop.

· Help create a warm, upbeat and inclusive feeling in the shop.

· Remember loyal customers’ names and preferences and help build meaningful relationships.

· Handle customer concerns and issues with tact and kindness.

· Process exchanges, returns, damages and gift cards without assistance.

· Anticipate customer needs and address them proactively.

· Monitor and maintain company email account and phones.

· Communicate with customers via email, phone and text messaging regarding order updates and product recommendations.

· Maintain customer contact information in our customer database.

· Actively acquire and share knowledge of the products and brands we carry.

· Personalize customer experiences by matching individual preferences and needs with the perfect product.

· Share product knowledge with your coworkers.

· Utilize your product knowledge to assist customers in finding the perfect product for their needs.

· Operate the cash register, manage financial transactions and keep the drawer balanced.

· Actively maintain shop presentation by cleaning, stocking, steaming, and merchandising.

· Light cleaning including caring for floors, dusting, watering plants, breaking down/recycling boxes and taking out trash.

· Must bend, reach and stretch for products as well as lift, carry and move boxes that weigh at least 40 pounds.

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
