Waterville Elementary School is looking to hire a Trauma informed, Restorative Practices Facilitator who will be responsible for providing social, emotional and behavioral supports to students. This individual will collaborate with the building principal, school counselor, teachers and support staff to develop/coordinate behavior support plans that improve learning and support personal growth, establish effective rapport with students and motivate them to develop skills needed to improve their positive behavior in the school environment. This individual will engage in the Restorative Process with individual students and groups of students to increase student engagement and resolve conflict.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Work with teachers and staff in the identification and development of individual, small group, and whole group interventions intended to change behaviors using evidenced-based strategies such as Restorative CirclesRespond to and manage the physical safety of students in crisisIdentify and implement appropriate interventions for students in need of additional assistanceCollect data regarding student behavior and conduct research of current behavior interventions being usedKnowledge of PBIS and SWIS, incorporating this into data collection and behavior supportsDeliver professional development for school staff on Restorative Practices, crisis management strategies including deescalation, restraint, and seclusion, anger management, as well as other topics as neededCommunicate with parents/guardians as neededMaintain confidentiality of student, family, and other professional informationKeep the building Principal and teachers informed of student progress, incidents and concernsWorking with school administration, investigate bullying and harassment complaints utilizing the school's policies and proceduresComplete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, including Rule 4500 paperwork requirementsPerform other duties as assigned by the Principal for the purpose of building and maintaining a safe learning environment for all school community membersAbide by all school policies, procedures and state and Federal laws
