Job description
Full-service, upscale restaurant located in Downtown Brentwood since 2016 serving American cuisine by Executive Chef Jesus Martinez.
We seek a strong management candidate to complement our General Manager and our committed, service-driven team. This individual may possibly divide their time between both Zephyr Grill & Bar in Brentwood and our sister restaurant, Smith's Landing Seafood Grill located at the Antioch Marina.
We expect that you will be able to set the standard for service with a keen eye on every aspect of the guest's experience and personally intervene to solve all issues promptly and positively. The candidate will be able to coach, counsel, and develop the staff to achieve the highest level of performance throughout the restaurant.
Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Previous restaurant management experience in a high-volume, upscale concept.- Highly proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to lead and motivate a team.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, Sundays, and all major holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas when we are closed.
- The manager ensures food quality, proper recipe, plate presentation, and maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary environment.
- Ability to manage expo and correct quality or presentation issues before the food reaches the table.
- Displays a sufficient amount of wine knowledge.
- Some culinary experience or training is a plus.
