Position: Response Team Specialist
Salary: $41,000.00 - 45,000.00 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
Job Type: Full Time
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Response Team Specialist is responsible for serving as the strategic point person for the agency in conducting immediate and ongoing procedures to find and engage missing clients to return them to supervised care. Key job duties include following legal custodian procedures as outlined in manuals/contracts for missing and runaway clients, utilizing all appropriate means to locate missing clients, and coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies to organize search efforts. This position engages electronic systems, paper charts, and team members to review and become familiar with the client’s case and history to develop client-specific search strategies. The Response Team Specialist is also responsible for searching for clients at various locations (knocking on doors, driving through areas last seen, contacting communities of friends, relatives, prior placements, school personnel, etc.). Additional responsibilities include searching for clients using social media and other appropriate technologies, utilizing media outlets, and developing community networks to assist in locating clients missing from care.
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in social services, criminal justice, human resources, behavioral sciences, or an allied field. The ideal candidate will also have up to three (3) years of related experience such as working in law enforcement, social services, transitional living, and child welfare or crisis intervention. Must pass a background check, and physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
