The Department of Immunobiology at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine is growing into a nationally and internationally recognized research and educational center. Research in the Department and the University is supported by state-of-the-art core facilities including animal housing, FACS, DNA, Microarrays, Proteomics, and Imaging. Located in beautiful Tucson, the University of Arizona College of Medicine (UA CoM) was established in 1967 and has 22 departments, five basic science and 17 clinical sciences, along with 10 Centers of Excellence, dedicated to specific areas of research, clinical care and teaching. - Track laboratory consumables and place orders regularly to replenish.
- Ensure laboratory is in compliance with chemical, biosafety, IACUC, and HIPAA approvals.
- Maintain scientific research instrumentation and service contracts. Initiate repair calls when required.
- Track balances and spending on laboratory accounts.
- Maintain specialized research reagents for molecular and cell biology.
- Act as liaison with sales representatives to ensure best pricing on laboratory supplies.
- Assistance with experiments of other research staff may be periodically required.
- Prepare supporting documents for grant proposals.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
