Exciting Outdoor Job Opportunity!

Ramsey Outdoor is seeking a Paddle Center manager to operate our rental concession at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Ramsey Outdoor exclusively rents canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve from May to the end of September. This position offers an opportunity to be outside in a picturesque, fun environment on the water. Additionally, it would be great for someone looking for seasonal employment. Additional hours will potentially be available at our retail store, if desired.

Responsibilities Include:

• Greeting the public
• Registering participants for rentals
• Providing instruction and safety information to customers
• Overseeing Staff Training and Scheduling
• Leading and Producing Group Tours and Various Events throughout the season
• Handling cash and credit cards
• Assisting customers into and out of boats
• Cleaning and maintaining boats
• On-water rescue
• Loading and unloading kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards (must be able to lift 50lbs)

Requirements:

• Paddling/outdoor experience
• Ability to help lift boats in and out of storage facility (must be able to lift 50lbs)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.15 - $18.00 per hour
