POSITION SUMMARY
The Reliability Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the technical support in the Maintenance department. This position develops, and carries out projects, initiatives aimed at improving the overall equipment & process reliability. This position is also involved in a variety of engineering projects, with a particular emphasis on electrical and controls systems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reliability Maintenance
- The Reliability Maintenance Engineer will provide maintenance, electric, and hydraulic engineering services and support.
- Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems. Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems.
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes: Value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Oversees the facility’s maintenance program; identifies and analyzes equipment or machinery failures and takes corrective actions.
- Ensures that the facility’s equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
- Provides technical training to management and other team members.
- Coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and consultants related to ongoing operations, as opposed to Capital Projects
preventative maintenance
- Executes major tasks in preventative maintenance assignments; implementation of productivity improvement systems
- Assists in investigating recurring mechanical problems and proposes long term solutions

Specialized education equivalent to a Bachelors Degree. Requires application of knowledge in a
specialized field. Ability to plan & organize work. Capable of solving problems of a difficult nature, within field of specialization.

Requires no prior experience, or less than one year of experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Routinely communicates both verbally and/or in written format with internal personnel. Communication may also include level of non-routine issues including business discussions or meetings with internal personnel and/or external to the organization.
COMPLEXITY & DECISION MAKING
Varied work for which standard plans and methods exist. May be responsible for the coordination of duties within a department or unit. Decision making requires identification and breakdown of facts of a situation. All difficult or unusual situations are referred to supervisor for direction.
