For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $5,000 sign on for New Grad Registered Nurses, $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. - Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Full time – 36 hour, four days per week, day shift position in busy Rheumatology specialty office located in historic Bath, Maine.
Your role:
Mid Coast Medical Groups – Rheumatology has a rewarding career opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) partnering with patients to manage their autoimmune diseases. Because rheumatology patients may have complex needs and comorbidities, nurses working in this specialty area must possess excellent therapeutic communication and patient education skills, as well as medication, pain management, and insurance knowledge. As a rheumatology nurse, you’ll have opportunities to touch patients’ lives every day, whether it’s over the phone or during office visits. These nurse-patient relationships can last for several years, leaving an impression that you’ll remember throughout your career.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- License/Certifications: Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure. Current BLS required.
- Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure and functions; and community resources.
- Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
- Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret physicians’ orders and notes from other providers.
- Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.
- Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
- Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
