Job description

Are you looking for a nontraditional nursing role?

Would you like weekends and holidays off allowing you to spend more time with your family?

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of people who have disabilities?

If you answered yes to these questions – an Independent Assessor position with Liberty Healthcare Corporation of North Carolina may be the perfect fit for you!

As an Independent Assessor with Liberty, you will connect with North Carolinians who are applying for Medicaid-funded in-home Personal Care Services (PCS) to support their activities of daily living. You will assess them in their home, then complete an online report which will guide service eligibility and level of care determinations. Daily travel within Guilford, Rockingham and Forsyth Counties is required.

Liberty has a team of folks who are dedicated to your success! We provide robust hands-on structured training and daily interactions with our staff. This helps ensure your success in achieving the fundamental performance principles of conducting assessments.

As a valued full-time employee of Liberty, you can expect:

  • Annual salary of $70,000 with pay by direct deposit every other week
  • 240 hours (30 weekdays) of accrued paid time off annually
  • Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
  • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k plan and more – click here for full details

To equip your home office, Liberty will provide you with a computer, mobile phone, and internet service.

In addition to traditional full time schedules, Liberty also offers flexible part time schedules and "as needed" work opportunities.

You’re a good fit for an Independent Assessor position if you possess the following:

  • North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in home health, hospice or a similar field-based nursing role
  • Computer proficiency and good keying skills
  • Good organizational and time managements skills – and an ability to meet daily timelines

Please note – residency within Guilford, Rockingham or Forsyth County is required.
