About The Job

A Clinical Liaison at Favorite is a qualified and licensed Registered Nurse who provides consultative support to our branch offices, and business Divisions. This person has with firsthand experience in nursing and is now our subject matter expert in all things risk management in healthcare. Our clinical Laison is an independent thinker, seasoned healthcare professional, who is passionate about nursing, and has and pivoted to a more administrative role.

We are looking for a healthcare professional,

with a successful background in nursing (preferably, ER or ICU), who is passionate about the industry ready to learn a new skill far from the bedside.

Qualifications:

  • BSN, Current, active Registered Nurse licensure in good standing
  • 5 years as RN in acute care setting
  • 3 years of direct supervisory or managerial responsibility

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Provides support to Branch offices, FMS, Advanced Practice, Travel, Allied, National Accounts and the Human Resources Department
  • Serves as the Clinical Liaison and Chair to the Risk Oversight Committee
  • Acts as Clinical liaison to comply with various state regulatory requirements (example: Illinois requirement for an RN supervisor for nursing pool/agencies)
  • Reviews and updates company resources and tools used to on-board and evaluate clinical temporary employees (e.g. skills checklists, State-specific requirements, State-specific training, etc.)
  • Reviews and advises on clinical “do not returns” (DNRs)
  • Assists the Human Resources Department with NURSYS notification reviews
  • Advises and participates in the RFP process and presents as needed
  • Participates in the Joint Commission Certification process
  • Participates in the Directors and Operations Training meetings
  • Participates in workgroups for Managed Services Provider (MSP) implementation and ensures best practices are communicated in a methodical and professional manner
  • Presents cases for specific improvements in client and clinically-related processes to improve service delivery, generate cost efficiencies and mitigate risk in alignment with business objectives
  • Coordinates with Branch office and Divisions personnel to manage client and clinician situations in an effective manner
  • Assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of temporary staffing orientation in collaboration with company’s MSP clients
  • Participates in business processes to improve MSP client experience and outcomes
  • Conducts clinical interviews as needed for specialty clients
  • Demonstrates knowledge of internal healthcare staffing policies as well as those relevant to facility, state, federal and accreditation standards
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex issues while maintaining a flexible positive, cooperative demeanor
  • Demonstrates adaptability to meet periodic changes in departmental needs and promotes direct, honest, open and timely communication
  • Provides primary clinical support to all assigned clients, including Associate Vendors, by engaging with facility key contacts to address clinical processes and concerns
  • Responds urgently to customer concerns that jeopardize assignment completion by coordinating with internal staff, operations leaders and stakeholders to make timely and informed decisions
  • Troubleshoots assignment issues and investigates situation gathering all relevant information with clinicians, clients and internal departments to resolve the problem in a cooperative and collaborative framework
  • Provides oversight to the performance evaluation process to promote the quality of clinicians; recognizes clinicians for superior performance
  • Assists with IT changes in regards to hiring process
  • Designs and implements action plans to prevent cancellations and optimize quality performance
  • Delivers/assists with training to branch and division personnel to elevate awareness and implementation of clinical and quality policies and procedures, tailoring content and delivery method to specific situation to ensure highest retention.
  • Participates in and represents Favorite in industry association committees
  • Manages projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational strategic initiatives
  • Attends clinical vendor fairs as requested
