Job description

Due to anticipated organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare seeks to hire a Registered Nurse for a new full-time ‘PASRR Lead’ position.

As Liberty’s PASRR Lead, you will serve in a vital management role and oversee the quality and timeliness of long-term care preadmission screenings for a significant number of North Carolinians.

This work specifically involves using the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) tool to evaluate people for mental illness and / or an intellectual or developmental disability – with a focus on ensuring people are in the most appropriate setting based on their individual needs.

The PASRR is an important tool used in rebalancing services away from institutions and towards supporting people in their home or community-based settings.

The responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Managing a statewide team of field-based evaluators
  • Hiring, onboarding, and training new evaluators
  • Developing and implementing performance indicators and quality control measures
  • Ensuring staff are completing evaluations within established timeframes and quality standards
  • Providing ongoing technical assistance, consultation and training to evaluators
  • Analyzing data and producing management reports
  • Collaborating with internal program leadership and partners within NC Medicaid

This is a remote-first position which will allow you to primarily work from your home office in North Carolina though occasional travel within North Carolina is required.

You are a good fit for this position if you possess the following:

  • Licensed professionally in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 4+ years of experience providing nursing services to people who have mental illness and/or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in a leadership / management / supervisory role
  • Strong computer skills and an ability to analyze data
  • Familiarity with the PASRR tool and / or other standardized mental health assessments
  • Residency within North Carolina and willingness to travel throughout the State
