Position Summary

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for coordinating all phases of nutritional care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of residents, patients and employees.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in an accredited didactic program in dietetics

Successful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship with a minimum of 1200 hours worked under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian

Registered Dietitian status by the Commission of Dietetic Registration; candidates eligible for registration may be hired with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 90 days of hire.

Licensed dietitian-nutritionist (LDN) for state of Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Establishes an initial nutritional assessment form which provides the basis for the nutritional care plan for each resident including formulating recommendations for nutritional support of identified at risk residents.

2. Participates in the scheduled conferences with the interdisciplinary team to develop the resident’s individual plans of care.

3. Provides resident counseling or education with residents or their family members regarding nutritional care.

4. Evaluates, interprets, monitors and documents the nutritional status and nutritional needs of residents and patients.

5. Participates in wellness activities and provides education and counseling to employees as needed to promote healthy lifestyle changes.

6. Conducts employee in-service education as needed.

7. Proctor Dietary Manager Students and may be required to mentor dietary interns and/or students

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
