POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Director of Social Services is accountable for Supporting the Social Service Departments, Recreation Therapy Department, and facilities in their assigned region. Maintains Social Services department in the absence of the social services staff. This position is intended to educate, coordinate, and consult with the Social Services department/Recreation Therapy Department and assigned regional skilled nursing facilities. Duties will include participating in mock survey, completing facility audits, coordination of needed coverage during vacations or openings and onboarding new staff. The position will also support the Vice President of Social Services and Behavioral Health in assuring compliance and appropriate implementation of new company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Must recognize and understand the psychosocial and emotional needs of residents
- Require strong skills in communication, organization, management and leadership.
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
- Must qualify for employment after a criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Dept of Human Services
Preferred:
- Minnesota license to practice social work is encouraged by not required
- Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community
- Receive a social work license including LSW, LGSW, LICSW and LISW within 12months of employment.
