How can you Unearth the Possibilities with Nufarm?

Based in Chicago Heights, IL Nufarm is looking to engage a motivated Regional Capital Planning and Engineering Manager to provide leadership to lead the capital engineering agenda for the North America region, managing the capital investment plan, leading the engineering design, engineering detail, construction, start-up, and decommissioning.

What will you be doing?

Manage all aspects of the capital budget from creation with the business to align to strategy to spending tracking with finance to resource planning, scheduling of projects (when do they start and stop, who does them, should we bring in outside project managers, etc).
Build a capital deployment plan that best utilizes our resources and meets business needs.
Investigate improved manufacturing processes and techniques and implement where appropriate to drive improvements in cost, safety, quality, or efficiency.
Establish engineering standards for use at all facilities and with contract engineer firms.
Drive components of PSM that are engineering / equipment related such as MOC, preventative maintenance, engineering standards, drawing management, procedures for maintenance. We are going to have a strong global push for PSM this year and we need someone who can actively engage and get work done in this area.
Lead by example and drive an incident free workplace; PTW program compliance.
Personally lead capital projects (perhaps of larger scale), establish criteria for contractor/vendor selection and management, work front process management, establish Capex submission templates and standards for business.

What do you bring?

Nufarm is looking for a people leader with at least 10 years of related experience as a manufacturing engineer or project engineering manager. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical). The right candidate will have a solid, working knowledge of chemical processing equipment and OSHA PSM standard.
