What You'll Be Doing

The Reentry Program Manager will be a proven leader for reentry in Wake County. This individual will provide leadership and program management to the Wake Reentry Program. Through the Reentry Program, Capital Area Workforce Development staff provides case management, connections to basic services such as food, healthcare, and housing, as well as education/training and employment services to justice involved individuals. The Wake Reentry Program coordinates with community, government, and faith-based partners that provide wrap-around support to justice involved individuals. The Reentry Program Manager will provide management to this program including leading a team of six. This position includes three major aspects:

Leading a diverse team that provides case management, community & partner engagement, and employer engagement to meet performance goals

Working with correctional facilities, community partners and employers to create a system of support and opportunities for returning citizens entering the workforce

Maintaining records, managing budget, and providing regular reports to funders

This position will provide coordination among other workforce related reentry programs including the Wake County Education and Employment Initiative (Wake County Detention Center Program), NC PROWD (Regional Federal Facility Program), and NCWorks Career Center, and others. The Reentry Program Manager will support the Reentry Team members as they develop relationships with community partners and employers that provide support and employment to justice involved individuals.
The Reentry Program Manager will also be responsible for providing reports, documentation, and communication to CAWD, Wake County, and other funders. He or she will respond to all requests for additional information and periodic visits. The Manager will be supported by the CAWD management and accountants to complete reports and respond to requests.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources Administration or related field
Four years of experience in public administration or workforce development
Equivalent education and experience are accepted
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
At least 5 years of experience with reentry and the justice system
How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
Experience in building community support and coordination around programs or issues
Experience in managing program teams to meet performance goals
Experience in project coordination, project management, and/or grant management
Proficiency in MS Office products
Ability to develop procedures for record-keeping, budget monitoring and sustaining program features
Ability to maintain records accurately and consistently meet deadlines
Ability to perform normal duties with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:15 pm

Hiring Range: $65,000 - $72,000
