Type: Full-time (initial 6 month’s fixed term contract with potential of permanent position)

Location: Ilford, Redbridge Central Library & potential for hybrid working

To be a successful Recruitment Assistant, you should have excellent organisational skills, who is able to see the bigger picture, enjoys working with people, has bundles of patience and a calm demeanour. Most importantly you should have the drive and determination to want to learn and develop within this role.

You would be joining a small, committed HR team who set themselves high standards, who want to continue to evolve and improve, to provide the best HR experience to our people.

What would you be doing?

Key tasks will include: -

  • Preparing and posting job adverts
  • Screening candidates by performing background checks and verifying right to work, suitability to work with young people and qualifications.
  • Processing and updating a wide range of HR information onto internal systems
  • Co-ordinating and responding to queries and requests from managers and employees.
  • Attending job fairs and other events to promote Vision careers
  • Supporting the HR Team to deliver their HR Transformation project

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of one year’s recruitment experience and a keen interest in the field of Human Resources
  • Be professional in all communication both verbal and written
  • Be proactive in managing their own workload, work independently and able to use own initiative
  • Be able to pick up and understand work quickly
  • Have proven experience of working with data
  • Have good office skills especially with Microsoft applications
  • Be flexible in dealing with a changing work environment
  • Be able to build positive relationships quickly with colleagues
