Job Description
The Craft Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and retention strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified and capable craft professionals for the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the field recruitment and sourcing processes and strategies based on the available talent, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Conduct phone screens with applicants and select qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of the interview including written and hands on assessments.
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions along with hiring criteria.
- Assist with job posting and job advertisement process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employments laws and regulations, and compliancy policies.
- Develop, facilitate, and implement initiatives and processes to retain top talent.
- Attend and participate in career fairs and other recruiting events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred, but not required.
- At least 2 years' experience with high-volume recruiting in construction is highly preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software and other sourcing tools such as but not limited to Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.
- Must have the ability to lift 30 pounds.
