Billing & Receivables Specialist Supervisor

The Billing & Receivables Specialist Supervisor will oversee the day to day operations of the Specialist team by ensuring team members are focused on their key responsibilities through training, workload assignment and prioritization while ensuring exceptional service to internal and external customers. Additionally, they will ensure efficient and accurate team performance by monitoring individual metrics and coaching team members as appropriate. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensures team members are focused on their key responsibilities through training, workload assignment and prioritization.· Ensures efficient and accurate team performance by monitoring individual metrics and coaching team members as appropriate.· Supervises and develops team members by providing mentorship, guidance and training.· Ensures exceptional service is provided to internal and external customers by all team members.· Leads team by modeling a day to day high standard of service, being a resource for the team and a secondary point of escalation. · Monitors team specific customer and pharmacy personnel requests on various platforms such as phone calls, emails, retro requests, tech tickets and intranet requests to ensure efficient and accurate handling of requests.· Monitors day to day team billing processes to ensure efficient and accurate processing of claims.· Monitors team aged balance processes to ensure efficient and accurate handling of aged accounts.· Monitors and assists with complex billing issues and specialized billing requests.· Monitors and assists with customer escalations and disputes to ensure they are handled thoroughly and promptly escalating as appropriate.· Completes various reporting such as aging, claim and task reports.· Assist with customer statement process working with vendor as appropriate.· Assist team in identifying root cause of issues and driving to appropriate solutions to prevent ongoing issues when possible.· Continuously identifies areas for efficiencies while collaborating with team members and leadership to successfully execute changes, improvements and projects.· Perform various supervisory duties such as staff scheduling, addressing performance issues, completing annual staff appraisals, handling payroll functions, leading team meetings, holding status meetings, staff recognition incentives etc.· Learn and implement new and changing technologies on an ongoing basis.· Maintain confidentiality of all patient PHI, following HIPAA guidelines and TW processes.· Maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company guidelines to present a professional image of the office.· Maintain flexibility as work roles and/or job responsibilities change as environment requires.· Perform all other job duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Experience, Skills and Abilities:· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent· Supervisory experience or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with customers, internal and external teams, and leadership.· Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.· Strong desire and ability to look at processes with a fresh perspective to drive improvements and efficiencies.· Strong organizational skills.· Ability to:o Troubleshoot and problem solve using all tools and resources available prior to escalating the issue.o Prioritize, multitask, and manage workload.o Work with, and through, ambiguity without direct authority, where tasks are completed and issues are resolved in a timely manner.o Work and make decisions independently involving supervisor as appropriate.o Maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external teams.o Maintain confidentiality. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS· AR, insurance and/or pharmacy experience.· Knowledge of PeopleSoft, TWRX, and OnBase.· If these desired qualifications do not exist, there must be a drive and ability to quickly learn new things, especially within these areas.
