SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Re-Entry Coach position will provide services to men transitioning to the community from the South Dakota prison system. This position will provide individual coaching, case management support, facilitate domestic violence offender and trauma informed programming groups prior to the client’s release back to the community. The Re-Entry Coach will also assist clients in the community after their release. This position will also facilitate domestic violence offender groups in the Yankton community for individuals referred from the court system and probation; some of these groups may require evening hours.
This position will have close coordination and communication with the Department of Corrections staff, parole, and probation agents and the court system.
QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice or a related field preferred; will consider candidates with related work experience working with the correctional systems involving families and/or providing case management services to adults. Alternative education and/or experience will be considered.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
