The Glens Falls Hospital Breast Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our ACR accredited team! Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack mountains, Glens Falls is conveniently located a short drive away from the capital region and Lake George. Description

The mammography technologist will work directly and indirectly with radiologists to perform breast imaging procedures that require judgment and ingenuity while responding to the patients needs.

Schedule:

Mon: 8:30am-4:30pm, Tues - Friday 8am-4pm

Hours Per Biweekly pay period: 75

Responsibilities:

• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography
• NYS License
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by - MQSA and ARRT
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred
