R&D Technologist
Headquartered in Brisbane, CA, CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated, high-value healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. The Research and Development Technologist will conduct product development activities for new assays utilizing innovative technologies including next generation sequencing. The role includes liaising with cross-functional teams including software development team, technical support, field application specialists, product managers, regulatory, quality, and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments & analysis toward the development of new products and the improvement of existing products
- Execute research plans, maintain project timelines
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of CareDx products to support technical support team
- Perform quality control testing of new lots of products
- Prepare technical documentation (QC reports, Instructions For Use, training materials, etc)
- Perform instrument maintenance & calibration
- Follow procedures according to Quality Management System (QMS)
- Participate in weekly R&D, Tech Support, and Operations team meetings
- Maintain technical competency
- Periodically attend HLA/transplant-focused conferences.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or equivalent.
- Experience working in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics preferred
- Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology preferred
- Experience with PCR and other molecular techniques preferred
- Ability to independently conduct experiments, analyze data and work effectively in a team setting
- Demonstrated experience in Research or clinical lab setting
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills
