Shift Requirements
1st ShiftABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Responsible for daily product and service quality analyses to ensure output meets or exceeds documented customer requirements. Supports the development of quality systems to prevent errors. Engages employees in continuous quality process improvement activities.
Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports implementation of company-wide and site Quality programs
• Conducts and documents quality testing to meet required customer, company or industry specifications while complying with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and independent agency standards
• Maintains quality test data files and runs quality related reports
• Performs instrument verification, calibration, cleaning and maintenance, including basic equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Administers quality incident resolution process including completion of root cause analyses, calculation of total cost of quality, implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders
• Addresses Quality concerns and operational improvement opportunities working with key stakeholders and implementing corrective actions
• Participates in external/internal audit processes and supports site Quality representative responsible for executing any needed corrective action to address audit deficiencies
• Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Desired
Associate’s Degree

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
At least 3 years relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
• Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
• Knowledge of and experience with effectively managing changes to the production environment and process
• Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Six Sigma training / certification preferred
• Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills required
• Ability to pass all testing requirements of BRC Standards, HACCP, and Product Stewardship tests
• Inventory review and re-tagging units
• Responsible for generating COA's for shipments
• Lead sorting efforts for internal and returned product
• Training of personnel at both facilities
• Work with outside vendors and customers
• Experience with any of the following standards BRC, SQF, AIB, or ISO standards
• Solid computer skills experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
