This is the role:

We are looking for professionals to join our Byhalia, MS team as a Quality Technician. Quality Technicians confirm the products produced meet or exceed the requirements of the product specification and customer expectations. The technician also communicates to the relevant supervisors & departments so production parameters can be controlled to keep the products within specification.

This is What You Offer:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Good understanding of H+S requirements and works in a safe manner

· Self-motivated with the drive, commitment and high energy to motivate others

· The ability to read and understand written instructions and product specifications.

· Previous experience utilizing precision measurement tools such as callipers, micrometres, and measuring tapes, etc.

· Quality Control/Assurance background

· Must be familiar with data entry data bases such as Access

· Familiar with a number of different computer programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Essential Functions:

· Communicates test results to the appropriate departments in a timely fashion

· Performing visual inspection of produced items according to product specifications

· Selects product for tests at specified stages in production process and tests product for a variety of properties such as dimensions, visual structure, density and mechanical or chemical characteristics

· Carries out calculations on test data to present the results in a usable form

· Communicates test results to Production Supervisor and/or Operator for action, if needed

· Communicates with fellow workers and supervisor both verbally, and in the QC Logbook, with information about significant results or occurrences that effect product quality

· Test data entered into the Quality Database must be current and accurate Will be required to follow a testing frequency & schedule determined by products being produced

· Other Duties as Assigned

Physical Work Environment & Conditions

· Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 or more hours during the course of a day.

· Plant environment will be dusty with airborne wool particles.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.

· Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/down stairs, fast pace walking for some distance.

· The ability to lift 60 pounds and 120 pounds with another person
