Summary of essential job functions

  • Supervise all quality related activities
  • Analyze, administer, and fulfill customer interactions for internal and external customers for sort, routine quality activities, or (EI) – Enhanced Inspection requests
  • Responsible for the training of the quality staffing
  • Assist the Quality Manager with any quality project/task assigned
  • Supervise employees and ensure that all associates are adequately trained in all required quality procedures and use of quality equipment and systems
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and expedites workflows to support daily production requirements
  • Develop standardized work instructions to improve efficiency of subordinates
  • Deliver corrective/disciplinary action and/or termination when Quality staff performance is inadequate
  • Ensure all plant work instructions and production standards are up-to-date and meet requirements
  • Keep management team abreast of significant issues or developments within the Quality Department
  • Ensure quality checks are accomplished per the corporate quality procedures
  • Supervise and audit internal and external quality programs with the ability to take necessary corrective actions
  • Ensure all quality testing equipment is calibrated
  • Respond and resolve daily product quality material issues and conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Perform BOM audit activities for Eng. Part number, supplier part number, & weight
  • Audit and review Wheel ID templates
  • Oversee non-conforming product
  • Audit absolute reject location
  • Audit and review non-conforming QAR location for customer returns
  • Perform system layered audits
  • Walk daily through receiving to determine disposition of any damaged or returned product
  • Supervise put-away for high volume reject and/or returned material
  • Administer Control Plan, PFMEA, & Process Flow for TPMS, Repack, and ESEP
  • Oversee SLR tracking and billing activities
  • Ensure proper EI staffing is available, if not notify agency
  • Check suspect product reports
  • Supervise, maintain and oversee documented Quality reporting of Repack/Production, TPMS/Production and ESEP activities
  • Communicate and coordinate labor needs with approved contract agency(s) when necessary
  • Monitor and oversee Quality forklift driver activities
  • Ensure ISO documentation is being followed
  • Input or provide data for Quality Metrics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
