Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. Job Duties:

1. Review First Article data packages IAW latest revision of AS9102

2. Review Supplier submitted documentation for conformity to Purchase Order requirements, blueprint requirements, standards, specifications and processing requirements

3. Interpret, demonstrate and explain issues to Supplier as needed

4. Map notes and dimensional features on drawings via means of bubble drawing

5. Report, identify and manage nonconforming or counterfeit material

6. Work closely with various departments to ensure proper documentation is compliant

7. Update and maintain accurate internal spreadsheets for managing and tracking departmental data

8. Provide internal and external corrective action/notification when needed

9. Build relationships with cross-functional groups to improve processes and resolve any issues

10. Update/monitor SAP, per established processes, with detailed information and status

11. Ensure established deadlines are being met

12. Generate weekly metrics for management

13. Manage various MEC and Supplier portals

14. Perform audits as required or requested

15. Manage various internal data bases

16. Attend huddles and/or meetings as requested

17. Other related duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

1. 2 years Aerospace experience, preferably with Quality Control

2. Experience with reviewing and processing First Article Inspection (FAI) data IAW AS9102 latest revision

3. Familiarity and comprehension of Product Assurance Provisions (PAP) clauses

4. Ability to read and interpret drawing and specification requirements, with a general understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

5. 2 years Bubble experience, preferably with BCT Inspector

6. Ability to perform basic algebra

7. ERP experience, preferably with SAP

8. Proficient in MS Word and Excel

9. Must be able to speak, read, and write English well

10. High School graduate diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate

11. Able to work with others and be a team player

12. Ability to follow instructions and work independently

13. Strong organizational, written and communication skills

14. Self-motivated and the ability to solve problems, make decisions and think outside of box

15. Strong work ethics - meet deadlines, multitask, reliable, works well under pressure

16. Available to work overtime, including Saturday

17. Must be able to lift 35 lbs

Pay: $26.34 - $35.44 per hour
