Ascent Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a fast growing generic pharmaceutical company located in Central Islip, NY. Our core business is in the areas of Development, Manufacturing, Marketing and Distribution of quality and cost-effective generic prescription medicines. Ascent has drug product development and commercial operations within its 250,000 square feet area.

Quality Control Chemist:

• Perform pharmaceutical laboratory quality control/development activities;
• Develop and validate analytical methods; analyze raw materials and in- process/finished product samples using modern quality control techniques like HPLC, GC, XRD, UV-Vis, ICP etc.;
• Assist in developing/implementing & maintaining QC systems & activities;
• Work with advanced analytical equipment/ instrumentation in the laboratory; validate & analyze

results as per USP, BP, EP, ICH and USFDA guidelines; Perform in-process inspections & document results;

• Update pharma lab equipment/instrumentation inspection procedures & checklists as necessary
• Analyze raw materials and in-process/finished product samples using modern quality control techniques like HPLC, GC, XRD, UV-Vis, ICP, etc
• Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmacy/ Chemistry or related field and 2 years relevant experience OR in the alternative Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmacy/Chemistry or re field required.

Graduation with a major in any of the following subjects

• ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
• PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY
• ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
• INORGANIC CHEMISTRY
• GENERAL CHEMISTRY
