CoreFX Ingredients is a US-based Health & Nutrition ingredients manufacturer with a purpose to nourish and nurture bodies and minds. Our manufacturing facility is located in Orangeville, IL. Our Innovation Center is located in Evanston, IL.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: The QA Manager will Oversee and direct the QA Program, Food Safety Program, maintain BRC certification, and laboratory personnel. Ensure product and process compliance to legal, consumer, quality and food safety standards for all products manufactured for CoreFX Ingredients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Safety and Training:

  • Direct the QA Program that includes chemical, physical, organoleptic, bacteriological and shelf life analysis of finished product produced in the plant.
  • Maintain a working relationship with Regulatory Inspectors and Third Party Auditors to ensure compliance to standards. Serve as the lead member of plant HACCP.
  • Assume the lead duties as the plant’s main PQCI for the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
  • Maintain accurate and current product formulations and manufacturing protocols for all products manufactured at the facility.
  • Monitor, through auditing, inspection, sampling and testing - incoming ingredients, processing, packaging and sanitation, to ensure the safety and quality of all finished goods.
  • Manage, train and direct the QA laboratory personnel and technical personnel to assure accurate and efficient laboratory practices and record keeping.
  • Accept or reject finished products based on established standards. Communicate findings and make recommendations to management and corporate personnel timely.
  • Audit the plant sanitation programs, audit documentation and maintain required records.
  • Assist in training of all plant personnel regarding good housekeeping, proper sanitation, and product handling.
  • Lead adherence to the organic, halal and kosher programs
  • Work closely with the Plant and Operations Managers and plant personnel to prevent & resolve quality problems.
  • Assist R & D with in-plant trials.
  • Ensure that employees are performing their job duties in a safe manner.
  • Travel required for meetings and interaction with other facilities used for co-manufacturing and as required for supplier approval.
  • Backs up the Director of Plant Operations and Production Supervisors in their absence for any quality related function.
  • Expectation of 45 hours worked per week to adequately support and communicate with quality assurance team across shifts.
  • Any other duties as determined by the CEO or Director of Technical Systems
