Responsibilities include:

• Be familiar with chemicals used in department

• Be familiar with location of all SDS sheets in departments

• Be knowledgeable of all testing and procedures performed on BCF yarn to include

• Wear protective equipment when required

• Focus on safety - Use care to avoid injury to self and others

• Communicate and work well with department supervisors and other operators

• Be able to perform other duties requested by management

• Making sufficient cone labels for day and night shift for heatset

• performing various checks on yarn and the settings of the machines to verify accuracy and quality

• Ends down study in twisting

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write in Standard English

• Proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

• High school graduate or GED equivalency required

• Successful completion of all required on the job training.

• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

• Must have basic knowledge of AS400

• Understanding of computer operation for data entry purposes

• Good reading / math comprehension skills

• Good communication skills

• Capable of working overtime and swapping shifts or on short notice

• Capable of working independently

• Ability to discern between colors and pass the Munsell hue test.

• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment

• Basic knowledge of performing crimp checks

• Ability to use computers and tablets for data entry.
