Job description
QC Chemist:
- Performs routine analysis on samples submitted for testing on time and accurately.
- Perform wet chemistry analyses such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) & Gas Chromatography (GC) on pharmaceuticals in a Quality Control lab.
- Performs basic maintenance/calibration/troubleshooting on instruments.
- Documents results in accordance with cGMP and as laid out in company's SOP’s.
- Informs supervisor of deviations in results from established specifications.
- Adherence to policies/procedures (SOP’s, cGMP’s, safety protocols)
- Any other functions are required by Quality Control Unit.
Job Details:
- Hours: M - F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Position is temp for 3-4 months, but could go longer
Requirements:
- Minimum BS in a scientific discipline
- 3+ years experience in a laboratory environment with experience in HPLC, GC and raw material wet chemistry techniques.
- Basic communication, mathematics and computer skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and/or biochemistry.
- Basic wet chemistry techniques
- Ability to write documents, reports, SOP’s, protocols and provide trainings.
