Purchasing Specialist | $21-24/hr | 1st Shift | Blue Ash, OH

Family-owned company looking for someone with estimating and purchasing experience in construction, carpentry, set building, or event industries.

Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling purchasing activities; ensuring that job materials and supplies are procured in an efficient, economical and timely manner that meet the requirements of internal and external clients; assisting in training of purchasing staff; and development and implementation of purchasing policies. Responsible for estimating client projects and ensuring the project is completed on time according to quality standards, budget and client requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzing data on pricing, quality, and service to establish best practices for purchasing.
• Identifying vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies.
• Advising on price points, product comparisons, availability, and price.
• Evaluating cost and quality of goods and services.
• Negotiating best pricing purchasing contracts will all vendors.
• Facilitating inspections and meetings between suppliers and company.
• Communicating with project management and production regarding receiving dates and shipment status.
• Communicating credit claims with vendors for quality issues.

Job Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of basic accounting and costing principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience estimating and procuring materials in the trade show or construction industry
• Bachelors Degree in Planning, Architecture, Business or related field or 5-7 years of equivalent experience

Hours

Monday- Friday 8:15am-5pm

Pay

$21-24/hr paid weekly
