Purchasing Manager/Sr. Manager (Procurement of Pharmaceuticals)

MSNPI is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager/Sr. Manager to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Piscataway, New Jersey. MSN Pharmaceuticals is growing and we're looking for candidates who want to grow with us!

Key Responsibilities:

· Work closely with customers, divisions like Plant planning, Research & Development, Engineering and Lab personnel to understand their requirements to support the Generic Pharmaceutical Business.

· This position will work on the definition and resolution of the know or anticipated problems in value, quality, feasibility, timelines, specifications in procurement of goods and services while contributing cost savings.

· Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.

· Negotiate with vendors’ contract terms and pricing in order to get the best deal.

· Actively follow-up with all deliveries and ensure timely delivery of material.

· Develop and build new suppliers and maintain a good supplier base.

· Update and maintain records of all orders, payments and received stocks.

· Prepare MIS reports on a regular basis and review with Category team leads and cross-functional teams.

· Ensure compliance of all required quality standards.

· Able to handle vendor visits and audits.

Qualifications & Experience Include:

· 6 - 8 years experience in Pharmaceutical Formulations Procurement of Raw Materials (API’s & Excipients) & Packing material, or Master's degree with 5 years experience

· Knowledge of Pharmaceutical suppliers, vendors and market vigilance and market knowledge of materials used in Pharmaceutical manufacturing

Exposure to procurement of Capital & Engineering material would be an added advantage.

· Bachelors’ degree in Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or Pharmacy; Master’s degree a plus

· Hands-on experience working in an SAP environment

· Good communication skills (verbal & written)

· Excellent networking skills with both internal & external customers

· Good understanding of the Pharmaceutical market and connection to good vendor base

· Strong negotiation skills

· Experience in preparing MIS reports & reporting to senior management team

· Good organizational & planning skills

Physical Demands:

· Regularly required to walk across the plant and warehouse

· Sit, talk, hear, handle tools and able to reach with hands & arms, balance & kneel.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
