Sheldon Medical Supply is the leading regional provider of integrated homecare products and services. If you are an enthusiastic, self-directed individual consider joining our Purchasing Team in our Sandusky location.

Responsibilities include:

· Verify nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.

· Consult catalogs, vendor websites, and interview suppliers to obtain prices and specs for everyday items and when researching product.

· Obtain efficient, lowest cost procurement of inventory, equipment, and supplies.

· Generate purchase orders and send to suppliers via phone, web, or email.

· Compute total costs of items purchased daily.

· Confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries, incorrect product received, and returns.

· Compare prices, specs, freight cost, etc. and confer with Purchasing Manager for a decision to award procurement to vendors.

· Must be able to work in a team setting.
