Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client in Saline, MI, looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required for this Purchasing Agent role. The Purchasing Coordinator will ideally have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. This Purchasing Agent could be perfect for you! Once trained this role can be hybrid and pays up to $23/hr.

Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Handling large volume of requests for items to be sourced/quoted.
• Communicating with the customer as an integrated supplier to ensure that their expectations are met.
• Effectively communicating with vendors and suppliers to coordinate quoting process including:

o Sourcing items to best supplier(s)
o Negotiating best price/lead time
o Negotiation of new vendor terms

• Expediting priority requests as determined by the customer and on site personnel
• Analysis or data to pursue price/margin improvements
• Project management of large customer bid opportunities

• Purchasing experience through the SX.e or other ERP system
