Job description
The Division of Public Health in the School of Health Sciences at Central Michigan University invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month, fixed-term faculty position. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An attractive benefits package is available.
Teaching: The successful candidate is expected to teach twelve credit hours per semester in a face-to-face and/ or online format in undergraduate-level courses required for all Public Health majors and minors.

Service: Advising of undergraduate students; coordinating and attending student recruitment events on behalf of the Division of Public Health; possibly assisting with the public health education registered student organization.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s in public health education, or related field (if the master’s degree is in something other than Public Health Education, the undergraduate degree must be in Public Health Education);
- Minimum of three years of public health experience;
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful teaching at the college level or with adult learners;
- Experience in local public health and health education;
- Proficiency in use of technology;
- Effective written/oral communication skills; and involvement with professional organizations at state/national level.

The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions consists of five academic Units (Physical Education and Sport, Communication Sciences and Disorders, the School of Health Sciences, the Department of Physical Therapy, and the School of Rehabilitation and Medical Science). It offers undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs in American Sign Language, audiology, communication disorders, public health, health administration, school health education, physical therapy, physician assistant, exercise science, substance use disorders, speech-language pathology, physical assistant, athletic training, athletic coaching and sports management, delivered by 100+ faculty/staff.
